Hi, ich bin Helen Shed und das ist mein Blog. BrainSparks ist ein Ort für alle Kreativen da draußen. Besonders für die Multi-passionierten unter Euch. Denn- surprise, surprise: Ich bin eine von ihnen.
Wie die meisten Kreativen da draußen kann, ich mich oft genug nicht entscheiden, was ich denn jetzt machen soll. Malen? Endlich mal vernünftig zeichnen lernen? Oder doch lieber weiter an meinem Buch arbeiten? Ich habe das Gefühl, dass man es selbst in der Kreativbranche nicht gern sieht, wenn jemand viele Interessen hat oder mit mehr als einem Medium arbeitet. Denn das ist schwer einzuordnen, die Person ist schwer einzuordnen.
„Was bist Du denn nun? Autor oder Fotograf? Maler oder Musiker? Sicher kannst Du nicht beides sein oder gar mehr.“
Auf BrainSparks arbeite ich von Projekt zu Projekt. Teile meine Gedanken zu Kreativität, meine eigenen Projekte und Ambitionen und will zeigen, dass so chaotisch „Multipassionate people“ auch sein können wir ziemlich coole Sachen hinbekommen.
Kleine Randnotiz: Ich werde möglichst viel von dem, was ich hier schreibe, auf Englisch übersetzen, da die meisten Menschen Englisch verstehen und ich der Meinung bin, dass, wenn es einen Bereich gibt, zu dem JEDER Zugang haben sollte es der Kreativbereich ist.

Hi, I’m Helen Shed and this is my blog. BrainSparks is a place for all the creatives out there. Especially for the multi-passionate among you. Because – surprise, surprise – I’m one of them.
Like most creative people out there, I often can’t decide what to do. Paint? Finally learn to draw properly? Or should I rather continue working on my novel? I have the feeling that even in the creative industry, people don’t like it when someone has many interests or works with more than one medium. Because it’s difficult to categorise, the person is hard to put into a box.
„What are you then? An author or photographer? A painter or musician? Surely you can’t be both or even more.“
On BrainSparks I work from project to project. I share my thoughts on creativity, my own projects and ambitions and want to show that as chaotic as „multipassionate people“ can be, we can get some pretty cool stuff done.
Small side note: I will translate as much of what I write here into English as possible, as most people understand English and I feel that if there is one area that EVERYONE should have access to it is the creative field.
